Perella Weinberg Partners is seeking an experienced Regulatory Paralegal/Compliance Associate to assist the Managing Director and Counsel with coverage of legal and regulatory matters across the various divisions in our holding company structure, supporting all of North America.  Jointly reporting to both legal and compliance, the ideal candidate must be a highly organized self-starter and must be able to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities with a strong focus on attention to detail and initiative to identify and analyze problems, conduct research, generate alternative solutions and make decisions.


Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

  • Maintaining and updating internal policies and procedures reflecting regulatory matters and rule changes
  • Assist with organizing and drafting written summaries or presentations regarding regulatory/legal issues
  • Maintain firm compliance filing system
  • Assist in drafting and editing contracts and other legal documents
  • Ad hoc projects and duties as assigned
  • Make and manage travel arrangements
  • Offer strong project management skills to deliver task on or before given deadlines
  • Manage multiple projects to ensure on time delivery, working with all levels of management
  • Prepare various reports using Excel and expense report preparation
  • Manage business trackers and other Excel and/or Access databases
  • Review emails and manage workflow for group
  • Schedule department and client internal/external meetings
  • Create and format legal documents and correspondence
  • General administrative duties; mail, fielding phone calls, etc.

Desired Skills and Background:

  • 5+ years of paralegal or similar experience
  • Document review for internal and external examinations, investigations or litigation a plus
  • Knowledge of FINRA, SEC and general securities laws; knowledge of UK and Canadian regulatory systems a plus
  • Extremely organized and very detail oriented
  • Outstanding verbal communications skills, written communication and proofing skills
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
  • Self-motivated and capability to work independently on multiple projects
  • Must maintain a high level of professionalism at all times
  • Ability to interface with senior management and possess a strong team concept, skills and attitude
  • Advance experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access
